Cardiac Arrest
Cardiac arrest is a sudden loss of blood flow resulting from the failure of the heart to effectively pump. Immediate response includes performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). CPR keeps the blood flow active, increasing survival chances, while an AED delivers an electric shock to the heart to restore normal rhythm.
